Worsethanfailure back to the daily wtf?
-
I just noticed worsethanfailure.com now redirects back to thedailywtf.com. I'm glad the name is changed back, but im curious why it was changed back.
-
Wasn't this all on the front page and the forums? Or am I just imagining things?
-
I looked through the first few pages of the forum and front page. i must have missed it.

Couldn't this have been a quick discussion in the general forum as opposed to the sidebar?

Back from a holiday, are you? :-)
Yes, there was quite the hoo-hah and kerfuffle, including a spate of free stickers to celebrate the occasion.

Indeed. I read that prior to my Opal Fruits post to make sure of what I was posting in reply to the OP.
It still doesn't answer my question - "in which country would that be then?" You know, the one where the trademark Starburst is the old phased out name, instead of the currently used name?

Surely you noticed ow the logo has changed to a dull red instead of its former brightness?

Diet Coke is the current name in the UK. No it's not been replaced by Coke Zero, that's a different product. Coke Light is I believe the current name in the US, but I assumed it always had been.

Um. No.
It is Diet Coke thank you very much.
WTF is Coke Light?

I always thought of "Light" for beers and "diet" for pop. Egypt and Malaysia are messing with the world's concept of what is beer and what is pop.

Well so does America and UK for that matter.
But I think the point stands (at the risk of starting a flamewar) that religion runs Egypt more than it runs America or UK. I know in America, we feel like Christianity runs everything, but in truth, a lot gets by that the Church, were it in control, would banish. I think abortion is at the top of that list. Gay marriage (though it's not national law, it's allowed in some states) would be in second, with pornography in third. I'm not saying that all Christians are against these things, just that the Church as a whole (specifically, the RC and the evangelicals and Baptists) would do its best to eradicate them if they could.

As George Carlin always points out, it is funny the catholics/christians/whatevers are anti gay, and anti abortion. If you had MORE gay people, you would eventually have LESS abortions...
It is just inevitable, gay people don't get pregnant... at least not by accident.
They should become natural allies.

Well let's just thank God that the Church doesn't have enough power to eradicate it. Cuz you know God is keeping the Church down so they can't eradicate porn.

Yeah, I was trying to make fun of myself for saying "Thank God for porn." Glad to see it worked.

I've seen it in Japan and Korea. Apparently, the word "Diet" has negative connotations over there, so they call it Lite instead. I guess I wouldn't drink something called "Congress Coke" either (hmmm, that sounds like something Ted Kennedy might have lying around....)
