Firefox VideoDownloader
-
I'm pretty sure this has to do with me accidentally using VideoDownloader at the same time as IEtab (not sure why that would affect it, might be a coincidence), but I found the result amusing. This was the video was trying to download by the way.

IETab may fuck up your other addons' functionality.
Which is to be expected, because the page you're viewing in IEtab is not available to Firefox.
Did you actually get the video?

I didn't at the time, I canceled that since it didn't appear to be doing anything, then when I went to use it properly it just came up with "Connecting to youtube.com..." or whatever it says without the download window ever coming up. I don't know if that second screwing up is a youtube problem or a Firefox problem but I suspect the later since I have since downloaded it fine in Opera.
Interestingly enough, VideoDownloader gives http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=gNqiSkd1M6k&t=OEgsToPDskJK3hApP5UYqmr56vaxCQ3l&sk=y6uaBQDsCwpxDB64juPIhQR instead of http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=gNqiSkd1M6k&t=OEgsToPDskJbPZkCJIKljr7Gp9jDI2Mu&sk=y6uaBQDsCwpxDB64juPIhQR when used in ietab, which has a lot of similar characters.

Interesting.
Maybe that's salt based on the user agent.

http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=gNqiSkd1M6k&t=OEgsToPDskLUKow50QwlWF1J1Myv3Wnw - in my case - I don't know what "sk" is, but it doesn't matter for youtube really. t is time-based hash.
It will just redirect you to nearest mirror - you can drop the t param there: http://chi-v198.chi.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=gNqiSkd1M6k
