Youtube doing A/B again. Suddenly #shorts don't deserve channel names anymore!
-
@Tsaukpaetra I run a couple of uBlock rules to mostly hide youtube shorts from me.

I almost want to make a userscript to convert them into normal cards and pretend they don't exist. Sadly,

www.youtube.com###content > .ytd-rich-section-renderer.style-scope www.youtube.com##ytd-guide-entry-renderer.ytd-guide-section-renderer.style-scope:has-text(Shorts)
The first hides them on the home and subscriptions pages; the second hides the menu button.

I haven't bothered with a userscript, but on the rare occasions I watch a short, I copy the URL, paste it into the address bar, and manually change
shorts/
towatch?v=
. It's not a lot of effort, but it's enough that I hardly ever bother to watch one.

I don't want to hide it, I want to convert the cards into the normal horizontal style, and clicking them goes to the normal /watch? route.

status: now Google is putting words in my mouth.
The previous question was "have you recently performed a Google Search. This implies that it believes said search query was made by me.
I continue to be disappointed with Google's targeting.
The next question was why, and I chose all the options indicating just how little I cared for anything related to anything in the query.

@Tsaukpaetra I didn’t even know there was a lawsuit, but I can’t say I’m surprised about it.

I don't think I've ever even heard of Wolfire Games, much less the lawsuit.

@HardwareGeek you definitely heard of their spin-off project even if you didn’t hear of any of their actual games.
Basically, their games didn’t exactly sell massively well (probably because they weren’t particularly good) but they had the bright idea to found a little project to raise awareness of their games by hitching them to other games, and in the process founded Humble Indie Bundle, later Humble Bundle, later the Humble Store.
