• Re: The only thing worse than too much process is no process at all
A new project is started and a lot of tasks are written and assigned to people. Sometimes our team lead will poke his head in the door and just tell someone to add a task to his queue (which requires the cooperation of multiple people). Then it's forgotten about. There is almost no information about ...

  • Re: What is a test server?

Our first project on my first team on my first company just went live. There WAS a test server, and the features have been tested, but somehow almost every test failed to point that the features were either broken, or not meeting the specs. That, and the specs changing during and after it going into production, among other things.

  • Re: Hi there! We're not sure which action have we tried to do, and there was an error, so all in all, it was a success!
You're still using an antivirus, it's just a better, more efficient one. It's called common sense.
I usually don't tell this, but in the last 1 or 2 years it's the only antivirus I've been using, half for lazyness and half for not ever allowing anyone to plug flash disks or download ...

  • Re: In case of error, crash server.
Yet Another Reason why Windows people like me think that Linux is such a 'yee-haw!'
My organization is required by law to use free/opensource software. Nearly-inexistent documentation, projects abandoned then forked then abandoned, bugs going years without being fixed... I see it all the ...

  • Re: Let's hope the guys from Cupertino never find out
Or is their business plan to hope that Apple shows up and says "Hey, um, we know you own the trademark so we can't force you to stop what you're doing, but here's $100 million, hows-about we buy that trademark off you?"
Funilly enough, apparently Gradiente don't own the ...
I'm assuming the only kind of people who buy it are the people dumb enough to buy POLYSTATION game consoles while actually thinking they are buying playstations.
I just realized: perfect description for almost all grandparents and lots of parents too. And the timing is absolutely perfects for ...

    Yes, that's the phone.
Who will consumers be more angry at for the weird iPhones? Apple or Gradiente?
I'm assuming the only kind of people who buy it are the people dumb enough to buy POLYSTATION game consoles, that is, 8bit-nintendo consoles in a casing that resembles playstations and ...

  • Let's hope the guys from Cupertino never find out

Suppose you are a company from the eletronics sector, you operate only on a national level, you've been out of the market for almost a decade. Your top products were average TVs, CD players, and DVD players, and some (non-smart, obviously) cellphones. Then you are getting back into the game, you get the press and tell everyone ...

  • Re: Hey, let's make everyone an admin

I wonder what were they thinking... And how no one abused it. Possibilities: 1. They're 218 very trustworthy persons 2. No one realized it yet.
