     Still not sure if it's a Good Idea or a Bad Idea, but it suddenly hit me yesterday that, if Android is basically just Unix, there ought to be a port of emacs for my phone.  Damned if there wasn't one, although the comments say there's a problem with certain keyboards and a lot of people are getting a segfault starting it ...
