Some interesting fact to note... We only moved "recently" into the new building (mid 2006) - And the date format in the pictures is dd.mm.yyyy

Did those get sent to everyone in the company? We have the same problem here. I actually use the refrigerator whereas the others act like it's a storage building. I can barely fit my lunch in there most of the time, yet the other stuff seems to never go anywhere. Someone did a complete clean-out last year (I think), but it's already filling back up.

No... Only the the Floor which was using the fridge... My personal highlight is the Cheese thats about 4 years over its BestBefore date, and the lovely blue tainted noodles/p>

It took me a while realise that "the place where you put stuff that's too disgusting for the bin" is actually supposed to be a refrigerator.

I once worked at a place the had a great solution to this: two fridges, side by side. One was cleaned out every Monday (100% - throw it ALL in the trash); the other every Thursday. Both were clearly labeled, so if you bring your lunch you know which one to put it in, and if you really want to keep something you could keep swapping it back and forth... but all the mystery crap never sits around more than 1 week.

With so many lifeforms populating that fridge, you should have watched out for signs of intelligence. Maybe you could have gotten a few cheap new hires...

A former employer of mine followed a strict policy of cleaning out the fridges every Friday so this wouldn't happen.  Unfortunately, the janitor was usually a bit overzealous and would clean it out mid-afternoon Friday.  The guy was also a bit strange, he would eat anything that looked interesting instead of throwing it away.  There was many a Friday I entered the breakroom to find him chowing down on my leftover Chinese takeout from lunch that day.  On the other hand, at least somebody got some use out of it and it's not like I went hungry or anything.  Just not the kind of thing most people would think to do with food they were tasked with disposing of.  I think he had been a hobo in his 20s, though, riding the rails with the wind in his hair and all that, so maybe he just learned to never waste food...

Those photon clouds aren't so smart anyway. Back when I was a cop, I pulled a car of photon clouds over one night. I could tell they had been partying, but I decided to play it straight. I asked "Do you know how fast you were going, sir?"

He said "Yeah, officer, but I have no idea where I am!"

That's when I knew he was on X. I tasered his ass pretty good.

I've seen some nerdy sigs in my day, but I think yours takes the cake. 

I'm trying to come up with something to add to the joke related to tasering and adding electrons to the photon cloud, but nothing comes to mind.

I've seen this done in the YHAs in Australia. So if anyone leaves without cleaning out their stuff, its guaranteed not to stay around. They also had free stickers which you could use to label your stuff with.

I would second that, replacing "nerdy" with "hysterical".

My own contribution to sig history was back in the late 1980s, everyone had a sig that said "He's dead, Jim, get his wallet" or "Dammit, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a floor mop" or something like that. So I got annoyed and changed my sig to:

"He's dead, Jim... but you still have to use a condom."

I got a lot of complaints, but there was a popular tagline file for OLX going around that snapped this up before the next update and shipped it out via FIDONET FREQ to millions of people around the world.

It's still not as funny as the photons.
