SpectateSwamp:To get assistance in porting Swamp Search to the Net, Linux and the Mac.
While you're at it, would you please port the rest of the interweb to Linux and Mac, too?
Are you so clueless? Obviously the Net is another OS on the same level of Linux and Mac. How can you possible convert an OS to another OS? Unless you're the guy who think you have to install windows in order to install linux.

It couldn't just be that you are the one who has numerous posts about not being able to install Windows or Linux... Give me 1 link. I installed many copies of windows/linux. The problem is that installing 64 bit fedora core video card drivers quickly ends up with fedora deciding that GNOME, and KDE are no longer required and should be removed. Then I'm stuck with X, and no internet connection. What linux needs windows to install? I think you missquote me my good sir asshat!

Thanks for the ubuntu one... go ahead try it. If linux kernel panics and reboots your pc before you even get keyboard input and cant even do something like check for disk consistency sure I can't install it. I got the 32 bit to install, people said (if you actualy f-ing read what u linked) that its most likely my bios having bugs, or linux kernel not being able to support it. It has a problem recognizing my multi-core processor when using 64 bit calls. You are a retard asshat! The windows one has nothing to do with me not being able to install... AGAIN... You are yet again a retard asshat!

I think the stones have changed him... like the One Ring's power created Gollum... It's pretty clear that while he was a normal, sane, and possibly productive man in 1983, he has become a blabbering snivelling idiot with some bizarre obsession with his "precious," which seems to be SSDS at this point. Maybe aliens channeled the code for SSDS through the stones to Swampy?

I would more suspect he is the product of a really bad acid trip. I mean, if you get fired from a programming job for smoking pot... you REALLY fucked up. (especially in the 80's!)

NetSquares.org could be cursed?
MasterPlanSoftware:I mean, if you get fired from a programming job for smoking pot... you REALLY fucked up. (especially in the 80's!)
No I got a job because of pot in 1974 and lost the one in 2000. So that makes me even. I posted this info in the "EndOfTheWorld" posting. I'll stay here from now on.
This sure doesn't look good for NetSquares.org. Treating Me like that, is almost like snubbing the Stones. Not a wise move.
Oh yeah I got the same birthdate as Mick Jagger. I'm 5 years less old.

Almost, with just a few tiny little differences:
1. Everyone likes the Stones. Nobody likes you.
2. The Stones have lots of fans. You have none.
3. Snubbing the Stones would be not a wise move. Snubbing you is the epitome of good taste.
4. The Stones get loads of groupies. You can't even get
it on with your right hand, it laughs in your face and goes off with
someone better looking (and better bathing too).
However, you're both pretty old and ugly, so that's something to build on.

Re: NetSquares.org could be cursed?
MasterPlanSoftware:My assumption was that he is talking about his 'magic stones'... no? In typical Spectate fashion, he was probably talking about both (the magic stones AND the Rolling Stones), at the same time. From the preceding context, it was clear he was talking about his magic stones. Then he inexplicably starting talking about having the same birthday as Mick Jagger. This is just like the thread (on another site) where he started talking about "editing" video to remove proof of incriminating behaviour, suddenly switched to talking about using an "editor" to view video artifacts (which can be seen by birds!), then claimed he was NEVER talking about "editing" in the first place. (After all, using an editor to view video artifacts is not "editing") The funniest thing was the other site had NOTHING to do with editing or video. (I think it was a coding site?)
His attention span is so short he does not even remember what HE was talking about 30 seconds ago.

Mashup Challenge $100,000 prize - WTF if The Stones show up?
The Medicine stones that is.
And you don't know half the story yet. Weird weird and weirder.
I started working for Capital Cable. They went through a name change to Shaw Cable. Making me a Shawman.
When in New York in 2000 doing the curse thing. I visited the Empire State building and not much else. When I got home. I read an article about an elevator dropping from the 44 floor to the 4th before it stopped. There were 2 passengers. One was a lady named Shamica Peterson. My postal box is 44 and 4 is a very sacred number in North American lore. Even I can see those kinds of signs.
There are quite a few other stories like that over the years. That's why the MashUp is going to get messy. Very messy.

SpectateSwamp:I see you are from San Francisco. False. My location in this point in space/time is San Francisco, United States, Third Stone from The Sun ... But I'm from Tralfamadore ... As such my ability to sense reality in four dimensions has me anything but afraid. In fact ... I think you should probably be careful, especially of patterns concerning the numbers 1 and 3 which while adding up to four add up to trouble for you. Check your backside.

Nope, I wouldn't warn them in public. That would not be right. But all of the aforementioned places have nice places to file complaints online. Only takes a few minutes. SpectateSwamp:They won't know what hit them.

I made some t-shirts with the stones placed like that. Just iron-on ones. Nobody wanted them. I wasn't surprised.
All this collaboration talk with netsquared.org has got me uploading all the family oldies at dropshots.com/spectateswamp About 300 of the 700 have upload already. It will take an hour or more for the rest. Nothing collaborates like Swamp Search. I used the "cp" to move a copy to a temporary folder and uploaded the whole bunch at once. What a program what a programmer.

Neither are we.
All this collaboration
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. talk with netsquared.org has got me uploading all the family oldies at dropshots.com/spectateswamp About 300 of the 700 have upload already. It will take an hour or more for the rest. Nothing collaborates like Swamp Search.
This is true. Equally true statements: - Nothing refreshes like drinking saltwater.
- Nothing puts out fires like gasoline.
- Nothing saves lives like hantavirus.
I used the "cp" to move a copy to a temporary folder and uploaded the whole bunch at once.
How very clever. Why didn't anybody ever think of writing a command to copy files? I think "cp" would be a good name for such a program. Or maybe, like, "copy" or something? And then we could have a fancier version, and call it "xcopy," like after the X-Men and stuff? Or maybe you'd prefer one named "robocopy" after Robocop. Yeah, that'd be awesome. It's such a shame it's all just hypothetical. These imaginary programs sound quite useful. What a program what a programmer. What an idiot.

Re: Sharing oldie pictures with Swamp Search
Has anyone else read through the articles that the Swampthing has posted to dropshots? It is amazing how self deluded he became over the years. At first he thought 'Pretty Rock, I will keep it'. Years later (and much pot smoking) he thought "Magical Rock, I let 'Psychic' see it. Psychic say 'Wow' is cool supernatural thing!". Weeks later (and more pot) he tries to make money off of it. Experts debunk his attempts at promoting, so no money, so he goes the next route - become a modern day medicine man. Finds another medicine rock. Begins to use rocks to 'hex' companies that piss him off... It is an amazing read. What is sad about this is that the Swampthing is acting very much like my pot smoking, hallucinogen popping brother. He took the drugs for so many years that he began to think he was Jesus Christ and tried his best to save us all, got into all sorts of weird religious stuff. The Swampthing has obviously done too many drugs (flowerchild obviously) and his brain is fried. I am sure glad that he is a non-violent type as many of these abusers become very violent and unpredictible. At least he is providing some amazing comic relief to us. I have to say I was near to jumping off my building several weeks ago and ending it all when I came across the first Swampthing post. I laugh everyday I've had a chance to read this crazy nonsense! It has pushed aside the spectre of death for now. For that I thank you Swampthing!

Re: Sharing oldie pictures with Swamp Search
The SpectateSwamp threads are beginning to read almost like a novel: at first a shallow character, SS has gradually more and more backstory revealed. Rather amazing that he didn't mention any stones in Episode I: Desktop Search, except the brief cameo of "stonedan". It's only now the etimology of that name is revealed. I guess one of his next posts will expose the connection between the Mystical Hooded Crow and the VAX in his basement, or something, at the same time creating new questions to answer in the sequel, and so on. Maybe we'll even get some new characters (the unintelligibly-speaking friend/swampie?).

Whoops; actually I stopped to feed some pigeons and totally forgot about you. Sorry about that, see you tomorrow.
