Hey Lysis, if anyone deserves this mug, it's you. It was surprisingly difficult to find the link. Apparently the search has only indexed the last couple of months of posts. A search for "mug" produces no results older than Jan 7, 2008. The forum software was upgraded on or around Jan 21, 2008. Anyone know why this would happen, even though we all know that Community Server sucks? I realize now that I should have Googled! Original mug thread link if anyone gives a shit.

That doesn't count. It requires me to assume facts about somewhere else in the code that aren't clearly shown there. I mean, with that kind of explanation you might as well have said, "It's clearly in the language of gobbledygook, which doesn't have a native string type!" If he's giving us a picture of a bug, he better damn well show us a real bug! Sorry, alunharford, but I'm rejecting your contribution!

I think the correct but he is referring to is that the name is not surrounded by '
Giving the query an incorrect syntax error. Its possible code before it cleans the name, but i guess it could also add the ''. How about this for a bug: string sql = "SELECT * FROM Person WHERE Name = '" + Request.Form["name"] + "';";
