One does not simply grab a casual quote for Oracle. They want to know the name of your company and first-born child before scratching their asses chins while deciding whether you're worthy enough to deserve an Oracle DB.

Either that, or they're testing you to see if you can fix the application fault. If you can, you make a worthy DBA. Perhaps while you're in there, you can do a little UPDATE on the prices table?

Not sure how debugging and fixing an application is an indication of your prowess to maintain a database....

... but it's Oracle, so that makes as much sense.

It's most likely the bloody-stumped remains of Apache and Tomcat forced to cage-fight between themselves whilst several Oracle developers (armed with bludgeoning objects labelled "Oracle Java Containers") swing in random blows from time to time, just to stimulate the bloodthirsty crowd.

Scrape up the soggy results with a wide-bladed shovel, run through a blender with a good dash of balsamic vinegar, then serve to the internet.
