Otherwise it is just another barrier to knowledge.

SSDS has become easier and easier. Master and Apprentice is the best knowledge sharing method but this is a close 2nd. The computer has some advantages in that the knowledge can be shared forever; repeatedly; randomly and around the clock. Learners today are so fortunate.

Over 2500 posts. Spooky. I have over 2500 videos on youtube. The last being 216 videos done at last weeks Ironman (bike section)

Yup I do know that youtube accepts longer videos. With the ironman there were lots of breaks between some of the riders so I would shut off recording. Anyway I seldom watch youtube videos that are more than 3 minutes long myself. Knowledge should be short and to the point. Like this thread.

When uploading these 200+ videos there would have been at least 10% of them that failed because of communication problems; if I was sending 1 huge file I'm sure it wouldn't have been as simple but maybe not. It isn't a big thing doing the video uploads. I was in my favorite coffee shop chatting up people.

Any movie of that length (1hr 50Min) would have many more short segments. Many more.

What's your YouTube channel and video count. Come on share a little more...

Below is the instructions on how to share video so others can see the most interesting parts in slow motion. MotorCycle back flip. SkateBoard tricks. Golf Swing and of course Faster Than Sight objects.

Thanks to this never ending thread the program has gotten better and better. So be brave and down load the very short video files at the beginning as a test. Then the search.exe and MPEG_VIDEOSmix.txt timeline control file. Once you have those working then download the rest of the files that have the FTS objects to your USB stick. Then you can see these objects as well or better than me (if you have a large screen TV hooked to your computer)

By looking at the MPEG_VIDEOSmix.txt you'll quickly see how the playback is controlled and hope upon hope maybe shoot some of your own video.

Sometimes Sharing Video knowledge can be hard but I'll keep trying.

In the next day or two I'll add some of the other FTS videos. Cuz I love you.

Grrrreeat. Just put the above program on a USB stick. Then some of your own mpg videos there. Rename it to catmydrive.exe and run it.

It will do an auto catalog. Then rename another copy to sequential.exe and run that. The videos will run in order. If you have a look at MPEG_VIDEOSmix.txt on my site you will see how the timeline playback works.

Rename another one to catmydrivegolf.exe and run that on the USB stick and you will see how it does a catalog for golf video. Golf video is: start recording when they address the ball and stop right after the swing. These very short clips are played then it starts 6 seconds from the end of the video and when there is 3 seconds left it switches to slow motion for the swing.

I have never ever wrote a program that intentionally destroyed data. Real programmers protect your data. With this app you can keep your data forever.

It all blew up in my face. It was supposed to be a bad joke. I would download the binary and then post that it didn't work.
But I was wrong. I was so wrong. What follows is what actually happened (edited slightly for readability).

Finally got the random video / large text option working. It took going back to square ONE. Just a little more testing and examining the code and I'll make it available.

Having text explaining each video clip will be handy as I get older and my video library expands.

Being able to attach large text video is more important than text for pictures. Enabling people to put those short clips in context. Without it the relevance of the video clip becomes lost.

Well, considering that pretty much your entire HTML source was an unterminated comment, browsers have about 2 choices:

Assume you meant what you said ("This is a real comment that I forgot to end") and ignore the contents of the comment (Firefox and Chrome)
Try to guess what you meant ("Oops, I accidentally commented everything out by removing a comment terminator"), and act as if you had never started the comment in the first place (Internet Explorer)

Screen reshoots when I have the camcorder on auto is a bit of a problem as you can see in the above video.

The solution is to do what the 2nd_bestest program logic does. SSDS may work right now, I don't know but will test it tonight.

Ie show a bitmap picture then print the large font (48 point) text on top of that. Just like 2nd_bestest does. If there are any problems with that; I'll fix 'em.

When there is something for the camcorder to focus on (other than a black screen) then the print display won't be a problem.

Not having the camcorder on auto is an option but not one that I like.

I mean, not even a stoned nutter would actually post in an Apple fan forum about a Windows-only app, and after their baffled reaction call them closed-minded. Okay, okay. Consider the options:

Spectate expects them to love SSDS so much that they start porting it to MacOS / iOS, without ever having used it themselves.
Spectate expects them to give Windows a try to test out SSDS, but her refusal to do that is what he considers closed-mindedness.
Spectate is well aware of the situation and knows of how hilarious is is to call people closed-minded for not expanding their non-SSDS-related topic to SSDS because he thinks it's a good program.

Yeah, I know, Spectate, trolls need their believability and so you're not blowing cover, but since you now started with obvious irony, you might as well just come out and admit to us that that whole thing is a huge set-up joke... the medicine stones People brag and brag about various "video organizers" and "video editing" apps and no ban. When I trump them with SSDS they get all pissy and ban me. Calling it SPAM. It is all about the registrations and has always been.

It's almost not right to love an app this much...

A friend (I do have some) is trying to get it to run on a MAC.

Now I got to see about stopping the "end of the world" stuff on the 21st
